The Protection Gift — guarded by Alantarin after the Korvak War and ultimately divided between Krom and Tarmikos.
Overview
The Yellow Gift was one of the four Gifts Demmazon deliberately weakened relative to the White Gift.
Its profile was Protection, expressed through the two schools of Abjuration and Divination.
Its original bearer during the Korvak War was Alantarin the Wise.
Protection is the Gift's overall profile, rather than a separate school of magic. Abjuration and Divination together form the magical basis of that profile.

History
- Wielded by Alantarin the Wise during the Korvak War.
- After the war, when the surviving Gift-Bearers agreed that the Gifts were too dangerous for casual mortal use, Alantarin withdrew into a hidden mountain temple.
- Alantarin guarded the Yellow Gift there alongside the Red Gift surrendered by Kjeldin.
- Zaraleth ("Zut"), Correries' sister, eventually stole the Red Gift from Alantarin's temple on Correries' behalf.
- The Heroes of Aegea prevented Zaraleth from escaping with the Yellow Gift as well. The Yellow Gift therefore remained outside Zaraleth's possession.
- During the climactic conflict at Rictaria, Magerris divided the Yellow Gift's power between his two closest allies, Krom and Tarmikos.
- The division destroyed the physical Yellow Gift, with its power becoming intrinsic to Krom and Tarmikos.
- The Yellow Gift thereby provided the power through which Krom and Tarmikos ascended to godhood.
