Krondos
Krondos
Krondos was the great dwarven kingdom of the Age of Wonders, one of the seven kingdoms that formed the interconnected civilization of that era.
The seven kingdoms were:
Krondos was ruled by Thorn Runehammer before the Fall of the Age of Wonders. Thorn was also the bearer of the Green Gift, which granted him the power of Transmutation.
Like the other six great kingdoms, Krondos possessed a Travel Gate, connecting it to the other kingdoms through instantaneous travel. The Travel Gate network allowed the kingdoms to maintain extensive trade and contact, making the seven kingdoms a closely connected civilization rather than merely a political alliance.
After the Fall
The destruction of the Age of Wonders and the separation of Demmazon's Realm from the world ended the pervasive magic that had supported the civilization of that age. The Travel Gates ceased to function, leaving their great archways as monuments to the lost age.
At some point following the Fall, the dwarves of Krondos withdrew from the wider world. By the time of Under the Bus, Krondos and the dwarves played no significant role in the affairs of the surface kingdoms.
Beyond its role as the great dwarven kingdom of the Age of Wonders and Thorn Runehammer's kingdom, little surviving information about Krondos is known.
