Overview

Darktree is an eastern province from which Beldin originated.

The available campaign material establishes that elves face significant discrimination there. This discrimination was severe enough that Beldin could not find anyone capable of, or willing to, heal his dying elven mother.

Beldin's Mother

Beldin's mother was attacked by a creature that initially appeared to resemble a dragon. The party eventually identified the creature as a wyvern.

She survived the attack but was suffering from the lingering effects of the creature's poison.

Beldin was unable to find someone in Darktree willing or able to heal her because she was an elf.

This prompted him to travel to Toreon in search of a healer.
