Mike Erdman

Mike Erdman made a brief guest appearance during Under the Bus. The surviving source does not preserve the name of the character he played.

Destroying the Portal

During the party's assault on the Temple of the Moon, they discovered a large magical portal covered with arcane symbols and decided they needed to destroy it to disrupt the ceremony taking place inside the pyramid.

Mike initially tried to cut one of the symbols out of the portal with a hacksaw.

He ruined two hacksaws without making much progress.

The party eventually decided on a less subtle approach. They Enlarged Mike, cast Bull's Strength on him, and let him attack the portal with his now enormous greatsword.

Within about half a minute, Mike hacked through the portal.

It exploded.

The entire temple began collapsing.

Even while everyone was desperately trying to escape, Mike still wanted to stay behind long enough to hack one of the symbols off the now-exploded portal. He estimated he needed only another three rounds, but ultimately decided that getting out alive was probably more important.

That proved to be a good decision, because the temple collapsed a couple of rounds later.

Still Enlarged, Mike simply walked down the side of the pyramid while everyone else scrambled for the raft.
